Credit Risk is one of PayPal’s core competencies and is a key contributor to the company’s profitability and the customer value proposition. The Credit Risk team is responsible for the global approach to assessing various buyer-side risks PayPal takes on (including identity fraud, account takeover, credit) and the treatments, actions and experiences triggered by the results of the Risk assessment and used by PayPal to control losses. We are hiring creative and talented Computer Science students to intern with the PayPal Credit Risk technology team. You will have a chance to work on solving real world problems and gain practical experience in software development life cycle. As a software engineering intern in the PayPal Risk technology team you will: - Partner with a mentor on the team and work with the manager to define the tasks and milestones relevant to your area of coursework -Apply your knowledge and expertise to one of the many Credit Risk centric problems at PayPal -Work as a team member in the Risk organization to iteratively develop and release software - Have the opportunity to make a difference to the overall PayPal experience on the Live Site.

Requirements

-Masters candidates in computer science related area

-Knowledge of programming languages like Java / Python / Scala.

-Working knowledge of presentation tier like HTML, CSS and JS is good

-Working knowledge of sql and data analytics and even Hadoop is a plus.

-Strong communication skills, thrives in fast pace environment, ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at one time etc.

-Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges
