Job Requirements:

Engineer should have passion for build tools and innovation

Design and implement tools and services for PayPal, Inc. engineering community

Participate and become actively involved in team architecture discussions

Lead and contribute to code reviews, technical design/specifications and implementation of quality products

Significant experience with build systems for large, complex code bases, ideally Java, C++ builds and deploy systems.

Basic Qualifications:

• Expert level C++ or Java programming or Go/Python and Scripting skills with demonstrated ability to resolve complex problems
• Strong understanding and command of OOA & OOP practices.
• Requires knowledge and understanding of SOA principles and architecture.
• Need experience with Unix, ANT, Git, Jira, Eclipse, debugging techniques and cloud computing
• Experience with Jenkins, eclipse, make, jira, agile, nfs, virtual machines, Linux
• Experience with open stack, open shift, mesos and aurora
• Expertise in DevOps is a plus.
• Experience with containers, distributed systems and tooling
• Thrives in an environment of continuous change and complexity can drive quality insights and deliver high impact projects.
• "Can do" attitude, team player, fun, energetic personality, works well under pressure.
• Must be eager to learn, contribute and share knowledge internally and externally.
• BS/MS in Computer Science is required of application and system programming
