We are in search of a dynamic site HR business partner to join our team. The HR business partner is responsible for helping to build and advance manager effectiveness and employee engagement across multiple sites. This role will engage closely with local, site-level management and approximately 1,500 employees across our New York, Newton, Pennsylvania and D.C. sites to help drive support of the business and talent plans by delivering programs and initiatives at the site level while liaising with the global HR and Legal teams. The HR business partner will handle employee relations, provide site level support, Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) activities and culture integration with a focus on driving strong employee engagement and helping local business teams deliver on short-and longer-term priorities. The ideal partner will engage and leverage all the pertinent expertise and capabilities of the global HR function including total rewards, talent acquisition, talent management and development and aligned functional partners in payroll, legal, safety & security. This individual will strengthen the effectiveness of our management bench by providing coaching, counsel, and ongoing training to all levels of local site management to further develop our leadership capability, manager effectiveness and succession bench.

  • Broad HR generalist knowledge which candidate can leverage independently to mitigate business, reputational and financial risk 
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of employment legislation, its interpretation and implementation, and of employment practices particularly in the area of performance management
  • Skilled and passionate about coaching and developing manager capabilities and effectiveness
  • Accomplished at using effective listening, probing and investigatory skills to handle complex, sensitive inquiries and conversations with discretion, composure, and compassion
  • Collaborative partner with HR peers and Legal in determining and influencing outcomes of employee relations cases 
  • Strong analytical mindset, able troubleshooter adept at analyzing large amounts of detailed information, diagnosing problems, and recommending appropriate solutions to senior business and people leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high levels of performance, results & service excellence in a fast-paced, multi-cultural, global organization and build strong trust-based, collaborative relationships with all levels of managers and employees

  • Coach managers on individual & team performance and professionalism
  • Partner closely with legal team on routine & complex employee relations issues, including conducting investigations, managing cases, and executing on outcomes
  • Support HR Centers of Excellence (Talent, Total Rewards) in leading local manager training, employee onboarding and site engagement activities
  • Champion of site engagement by partnering with site leaders on culture activity, diversity & inclusion initiatives and solutions to enhance the employee experience
  • Together with the business aligned HR Business Partners, this role will support business reorganizations and restructures
  • Deliver anecdotal and analytical insights
  • Develop and document processes to evolve our site HR Business Partner playbook
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience. 
  • 7+ years HR experience in generalist type roles of progressively increasing scope with a demonstrated track record of building manager and leader effectiveness, employee relations
