At iZettle, we’re excited to be looking for a Senior User Researcher with boundless curiosity and the ability to represent the user within the company. Your passion and aim is to help and guide the company and our different product teams to make informed decisions through qualitative research.

As a Senior User Researcher at iZettle, you will have great responsibility and a lot of freedom, all while having a fantastic team to support you along the way. You'll be working within the iZettle Food & Drink area (our POS system targeted for food and drink businesses) to help us achieve our mission, but will regularly work with our international team and have opportunities to travel.
 



Role and responsibilities:

  • Focus on developing a holistic understanding of user behaviors, needs, challenges and motivations through qualitative research methods. 
     

  • Help define the practice of research at iZettle Food & Drink and conduct research using best-practice methods (interviews, observation techniques, ethnographic studies) across all our platforms, products and markets.

  • Autonomously define, plan, conduct and analyse research projects with our sellers to discover new opportunities for future features and product developments.
     

  • Inspire and motivate product teams and stakeholders through insight presentations and alike.
     

  • Contribute to company-wide research initiatives and explore new directions for the company.

  • Work closely with Design to plan, facilitate and assist with research and user testing.
     

  • Work closely with Data Scientists and Product Managers to define experiment hypotheses and support in research design.

  • Lead and organise workshops within your area to help define research scopes and projects.
     

  • Regularly consolidate research findings into concise, accessible, digestible and actionable reports to be shared with our product teams.
     

  • Ensure our foundational research and personas for iZettle Food & Drink are up-to-date and accessible to all teams and markets.

  • A inquisitive user researcher with 5+ years of experience, preferably working with digital products.
     

  • A team player who thrives working in a collaborative environment.
     

  • Able to demonstrate a practical knowledge of the tools, techniques methods and working practises of qualitative research.
     

  • Passionate about being an ambassador for our users, sharing user insights and discovering future areas of development.
     

  • Skilled in developing visualisation methods such as personas, user journeys and value proposition canvases, that can be used in specific projects or on a company wide level.
     

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to adapt to audience and industry changes.
     

  • Familiar and have experience working with quantitative research methods.
     

  • Comfortable with metrics, A/B tests and are able to synthesise and combine both quantitative and qualitative data.
     

  • Experienced working autonomously in the field to meet users in their work environment on a regular basis.
     

  • Experience in UX, Design and Service Design is a great addition.
