PayPal Credit products play a vital role in fulfilling PayPal’s mission to democratize financial services. Within the Credit team, we are striving to re-imagine our credit products to provide fair, fast and flexible products that responsibly enable our Customers to meet their financial goals. We are looking for an experienced and versatile full stack software engineer to ensure that we deliver the best in-class solution for PayPal Credit products. You will be focused on developing a monitoring frameworks and tools for PayPal Credit applications and beyond. You must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment and possess a strong aptitude for learning new technologies. You should have a history of working on product development and monitoring platform.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 2+ years professional experience in product/application development experience.

  • 2+ years professional experience in monitoring and tools development, preferably using Splunk/SignalFx.

  • Proficient in any one of the modern programming language Java/JavaScript/Python.

  • Good understanding of CI process and tools (Jenkins, Git, branching/merging, build systems).

  • Experience in software development life cycle and methodologies.

  • Experience in new technology and tools exploration and implementations.

  • Understanding RESTful services and able to handle APIs.

  • Good understanding of Cloud platform, Docker/Kubernetes, Databases SQL or NoSQL.

  • Good to have a technology and open source contributions.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain monitoring frameworks and artifacts for the effective Observability platform.

  • Work closely with Architects, lead engineers and business on product design features.

  • Manage source code and using continuous integration to maintain build systems.

  • Prototype ideas quickly using cutting edge technologies and open sources.
