PayPal's consumer wallet team is looking for a Web engineer in Bangalore to work on our next generation wallet experiences stack. We want people who demonstrates great execution skills and a passion for delivering superior user experiences. As a member of the team, you will directly work with the product owners and designers to create outstanding solutions and deliver incredible products. We are looking for the Web Application engineers, who have a passion for developing massively scalable, distributed software systems that require high availability to support mission-critical business tasks. Quality is at the forefront of everything our team does, and we are looking for true passion for writing robust, re-usable, scalable and well-tested code.

Job Requirements

  • Responsibilities will include building web flow strategy, front end and back end architecture, working with the back end architecture team, along with design and development of the web interfaces.
  • Partner closely with product to craft great product experiences to users.
  • Design and Write scalable web application code following best practices of accessibility, visualisation and usability.
  • Be a crafts(wo)man and encourage code craftsmanship across the team.
  • Deliver code in an agile team environment - you will operate in the bi-weekly scrum model
  • Test our own code and deploy out to the cloud environment
  • Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development.


  • 6+ years production JavaScript application design, development, and testing experience.
  • 6+ years experience with web application development including Node.js applications on top of RESTful APIs.
  • 6+ years of solid knowledge of popular JS frameworks and libraries (React or Angular, Backbone, Underscore, etc.).
  • Experience in mid-tier like Node or Java
  • Experience with technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, Webpack, LESS, Bootstrap, Dust.
  • Passionate about developing amazing user experiences.
  • Strong desire to learn, to experiment, and to share knowledge with others
  • Solid knowledge of algorithms and design patterns.
  • B.S Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
