Responsible for country annual risk assessment program, coordinating control testing program. Responsible for preparing, presenting the governance reports.

  • Lead and ensure the effective implementation of the risk management framework.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team professionals and strive to deliver exceptional and responsive service by providing risk and compliance management expertise in a clear, solution oriented and customer-focused manner.
  • Foster confidence and provide assurance to management that the global risk management framework is effectively managed, consistent with the local regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the review and reporting of thematic risks and issues across China. Coordinate across businesses, functions to ensure the key risks and actions are managed in a timely and quality manner.
  • Act as the primary advocate between Group, Region, & Country to ensure effective implementation of the Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework.
  • Perform other Management Assurance accountabilities as directed by Head of Risk and Compliance, China to support the businesses and to execute the operational risk management requirements of local regulators. Such activities include, but are not limited to, Risk Working Group reporting/attendance/minutes, Key Indicator reporting, Cross Border Activity monitoring, Regulatory Change monitoring/coordination, Business Continuity Management (BCM) coordination, Risk Assessment (RA) and Annual Risk and Compliance Plan (ARCP) coordination etc.    

Job Qualifications

  • At least 10+ years’ experience in Compliance, Risk and Controls, Legal, Compliance operations or as a regulator.
  • Sound understanding of key regulations in China.  Ability to pragmatically apply them to actual situations.
  • Knowledge of payments products and processes would be preferred.
  • Effective collaborative skills that contribute to positive working relationships with counterparts and stakeholders
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with MS-Office applications
  • Good command of English and Chinese (both written and spoken)
