Senior Product Manager – User Growth is an individual contributor role without direct people management responsibilities. This role reports to the Senior Director of Product Management – User Growth. This role will be the steward of the Checkout User Onboarding, working closely with Checkout stakeholders and our partners across the enterprise. All customers use our onboarding flows to create an account and pay a merchant for the first time. This role strives to remove upfront signup friction while ensuring our customers are setup for success and reengagement. If the output metric is acquisition, the product input metrics are signup completion rate, signup-to-activation rate, and retention rate.
The successful candidate will be stubborn on vision but flexible on details, in the face of execution challenges. The Senior PM will demonstrate deep care with a desire to improve the user’s lives to deliver business impact. Key Outcomes:
Product vision - define the growth product for Checkout Onboarding and orchestrate actions across the org to enable its success
Product strategy – be the guardian of an evergreen strategy to align cross functional stakeholders and teammates
Product execution – operationalize ramp and go-to-market by collaborating with PMM, Legal, Compliance, Analytics, and other contributors to ensure the success of the product using aligned metrics
Key Responsibilities:
Deep knowledge of the customer, data, Checkout’s business, and PayPal’s Market and Industry
Strategize and deliver Quarterly OKRs for Checkout Login Success
Aligned product strategy artifact - ability to influence senior stakeholders
Product roadmap that is globally stack ranked and sequenced - working with technical and UX teams
Outcomes definition - working with stakeholders and Analytics
Backlog grooming - intake and prioritization
Writing epics and user stories that support product vision and strategy
Product execution end-to-end - from ideation to product development to GTM to post-mortems
Skills and Experience:
Minimum 4 year as Product Manager at scaled consumer tech companies
Prior consumer product management experience and/or prior platform product management experience
Product-led growth or 0-1 product development experience
User empathy, matched only by business and analytical savvy
Financial modeling and growth forecasting
Engineering BS is a huge plus
MBA or other business advance degrees are preferred
