PayPal’s Banking Portfolio group is looking to hire a technical product manager who will join a team of product managers owning various platforms and solutions to enable products to address financial services needs for businesses.

We are looking for a product manager who would be responsible for building platforms and solutions to enable products to address financial services needs for consumers and businesses.

You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams such as business partners, architects, and engineers to build financial services solutions that deliver great impact to our customers.

The product manager is expected to apply a customer-centric, business-focused mindset balanced by a technical acumen in arriving at the product offering.


  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify, and fill product gaps and generate innovative solutions to deliver products that meet the needs of the customers and align with company’s vision and strategy.
  • Create a solid understanding of the customers and market landscape by creating user personas and competitive analysis.
  • Formulate product strategy, frame objectives, build a product roadmap and define product features.
  • Translate product strategy into product requirements documents. Perform data discovery and data analysis to define detailed requirements.
  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to deliver a good quality product by ensuring market differentiation and alignment to product business case.
  • Define success criteria for testing and work closely with users during user acceptance testing for product acceptance.
  • Facilitate the creation and maintenance of proper product documentation.
  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness, understanding of the product and improve adoption.
  • Determining KPIs for success.
  • Solicit feedback on products from customers and users and incorporate the feedback into product development process.


  • Minimum 10 years in product management.
  • Prior work experience in working on financial services solutions for consumers and SMBs (Small and Medium Businesses).
  • Prior work experience in working on Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) initiatives.
  • Experience defining and implementing commercialization aspects of product offerings including product design, pricing, go-to-market approach and marketing.
  • Experience building a product roadmap and working with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver measurable impact 
  • Analyze, quantify, and articulate trade-offs of what you are building  
  • Familiarity with FinTech products and concepts
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Deep attention to detail; desire to collaborate on new processes for efficiency
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and still hit core responsibilities and key deadlines
  • Know how to collaborate and tactically work with senior leaders that are stakeholders on your projects
  • Ability to quickly build consensus
  • Recommend new solutions to ensure constant improvement and evolution of customer experience
  • A can-do attitude is a great addition.
