We are now looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the Financial Services product area, with the mission to build and maintain a scalable financial services platform that enables our customers to optimize their business processes and to support Zettles’ continuous growth into new markets.

As a Senior Product Manager you own the vision and roadmap for the Financial Services product area. You own the prioritization of new features and enhancements, and you are responsible for communicating and coordinating those priorities across the organization. 

You will be part of the product area leadership team and as such you are expected to exercise strong leadership and stakeholder management skills. You will be interfacing with stakeholders from both within the PayPal organization as well as external partners and customers across the globe.   

In this role, you will be a main contributor to the development of Zettle’s next generation omni-channel merchant experience, as Zettle becomes an integrated solution to the PayPal commerce platform. This requires a clear customer first approach, while guiding product development teams in creating scalable solutions and platforms that meets business requirements both in the short term and long term.   

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Know your customers: Understand small business merchants’ current and future pains & drivers and turn that knowledge into product opportunities. Understand reporting, reconciliation, and other financial processes and create solutions that automates them.  
     

  • Vision, strategy and prioritisation: You are responsible for setting the product areas’ vision and roadmap. In doing so, you need to understand “what is important” and contribute to making the right choices and priorities.  

  • Communication: You are responsible that your vision, roadmap and priorities are well grounded and communicated to all relevant stakeholders, primarily other product teams, compliance and security stakeholders, finance and treasury functions, and leaders within Zettle and the PayPal enterprise. You will be required to collaborate with geographically distributed teams in different time zones.  

  • Grow yourself and the team: Being a senior Product Manager requires a strong self-confidence as well as the ability to influence, lead, and inspire other individuals. This job is an ever-ongoing journey of dialog, discovery, and learning. 
     

Who you are: 

A successful candidate should demonstrate a thorough domain expertise in financial services or payments, with a proven track record of developing scalable and distributed software solutions on cloud. You are an experienced Product Manager comfortable with managing technical and products with high complexity. You are proactive and highly self-sufficient, you thrive in fast moving environments, and you inspire and lead people through change. 

 

The skills that set you apart 

  • Extensive experience as a product manager. 

  • Highly proficient in financial reporting, financial systems, accounting, and bookkeeping  

  • Experience from development of distributed software solutions, with a general understanding of cloud technologies and microservice architectures. 

  • Thorough understanding of agile software development processes, data-driven development, and responsible experimentation. Experience from Jira / Atlassian is a plus. 

  • Strong technical and analytical skills. 

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Ability to speak fluently to engineers, UX designers, business managers and partners. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills and happy to work in a team environment.
