We are seeking a passionate Product Management professional for the role of Sr Product Manager – Payments. In this role, you will be part of the team that owns the technology platform which powers payments for PayPal Inc's brands - PayPal Core, Braintree, Venmo, Xoom, Hyperwallet etc. In 2021 PayPal Inc is expected to process >$1 Trillion in TPV, with a very ambitious goal to triple the volume in the next 3-5 years. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Manage or Lead one or more business initiatives or payments platform domains, gathering requirements, and driving execution with a focus on quality and collaboration with your counterparts in architecture and engineering.
  • Own the roadmap for the business or platform initiatives with clear customer outcomes and benefits
  • Work cross-organizationally with customer support, operations, legal, compliance, risk management, engineering, and other functional areas, to ensure alignment with related go-to-market activities. 
  • Ensuring cross-functional and cross-regional product team execution (with program management, architecture, and engineering teams), meeting project milestone dates, driving decisions across teams and ensuring product quality.
  • Develop and launch new products and enhance the quality of the existing products. Track the payment platform and pro-actively monitor product KPIs w.r.t performance and identify opportunities to enhance the processing for partner ecosystem.
  • You will be measured by the business results, quality, and agility of the stakeholders that use the platform services your team implements, including such KPIs related to revenue, transactions processed, code quality based on test definitions, speed of stakeholder ramp-up, speed of new services design delivery and deployment, and ability to integrate changes to existing services and stakeholders.
     

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of overall experience with:  
    •  4+ years of Software product management  
    • Managing platform as a product through the full life cycle
    • Leading and effectively managing a complex platform that is highly reliable and scalable
    • Working with globalized products
  • Strong Customer-centric outcomes driven attitude
  • Strong understanding of payments domain and payments industry Good understanding of platform service models, including Platform as a Service (PaaS) is desired.
  • Strong technology background including prior development/management
  • Strong experience in core product management, including customer analysis, market segmentation, KPI management, operational management and roadmap development
  • Ability to lead, drive consensus and deliver in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders 
  • Practice strong sense of ownership
  • Strong ability to translate product needs to technology and understand technology
  • Metrics driven, can draw insights from large data sets to tune the Platform Capabilities
    Experience working with customers, to ensure correct use of services
  • Ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly and understand how to drive a high level of focus and excellence with a strong, talented, opinionated team.
  • Experience with Web Services and Service Oriented Architectures (REST APIs) will be an advantage.
