PayPal is a global company operating in the competitive and dynamic Payments industry. The Treasury Function plays a critical role in our Product operations and development life cycle. PayPal is seeking a driven and experienced Treasury professional to join our global Treasury Transformation team. The role is based in San Jose and will work with a cross functional team in addressing the key challenges impacting the efficiency and effectiveness of Treasury Operations in support of the growth and scale of our business (both organic and inorganic). This role is a high visibility role and will require business transformational leadership experience as well as strong communication skills with the ability to distill complex information into presentations. The position will require the ability to lead multiple treasury initiatives that require technical or operational changes. The ability to work collaboratively with different business leads, internal stakeholders, and subject matter experts is required.

 Job description:

  • Proactive partnership across Treasury to develop prioritization of Treasury projects that enable key operational capabilities and efficiencies
  • In partnership with key stakeholders in Treasury, assist in the development of Treasury’s multi-year roadmap around data and systems strategies
  • Develop innovative ideas to simplify our banking infrastructure, while expanding our capabilities and flexibility to scale in a controlled manner
  • Identification of automation opportunities embedded within Treasury projects and partner with Automation Center of Excellence
  • Engage with the Treasury Product Enablement team to understand the key product initiatives that will require changes to the Treasury infrastructure and capabilities
  • Effectively partner with business leaders to develop robust business cases that account for timelines, budgeting and resource needs, as well as clear articulation of project benefits
  • Ensure transformational activity drives impact on our teams and our products

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.  Finance or Business degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience participating in large-scale planning and transformation activities in global organizations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate ideas in presentations
  • Executive presence with ability to effectively work with all types of roles and functions in the organization
  • Mindset to proactively engage and evaluate (and drive resolution of) transformational opportunities for the Treasury organization
  • Significant intellectual curiosity and desire to learn PayPal Treasury functions
  • Ability to lead and drive execution of plans through influence where you do not have direct authority
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders while navigating complex decision points and driving engagement on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated organizational agility and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with matrix reporting structure
  • Able to take initiative and work independently, however, collaboration, as part of a uniquely qualified team is required
  • Strong attention to detail and work ethic
