The Global Finance Product team is responsible for managing the integration of global products into PayPal’s accounting systems and operations. This position will lead the design of functional and operational requirements for financial product subledger activities for PayPal’s Venmo portfolio within the Financial and Analytics Data Services organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Proactive partnership across product, finance, engineering, and operations teams to define finance business requirements that enable key operational capabilities and efficiencies for new products and enhancements
  • Design and implement solutions to automate accounting operational processes that maintain the integrity of financial recognition and controls
  • Manage the finance product development lifecycle including discovery, prioritization, design, development, user acceptance testing, pilot testing, and launch
  • Effectively collaborate and communicate product roadmaps, project status, risks and dependencies to management, stakeholders and delivery teams
  • Partner with accounting/finance to identify, prioritize and implement solutions for current state issues or process deficiencies


  • Bachelor’s degree required. Finance or Accounting degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience, combined experience in finance, finance systems and product management preferred
  • Experience in banking or fintech preferred
  • Solid understanding of accounting standards and financial reconciliation processes
  • Strong system and data flow knowledge with ability to learn and adapt to new product flows and software technologies
  • Highly dependable, with ability to drive things to conclusion across teams
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate ideas in meetings and presentations
  • Able to take initiative and work independently; however, collaboration as part of a uniquely qualified team is required
  • Must handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in written documentation
  • Demonstrated organizational agility and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with matrix reporting structure
  • Energetic, creative and able to deliver innovative solutions
  • Exhibit the highest standards of integrity and be pleasant & fun to work with
