We are seeking for a high energy, analytic, business oriented professional to join the PMM Product Portfolio team and lead Finance Performance.

The role of Product Marketing is comprised of two primary areas of responsibility and activity: inbound and outbound (go-to-market). Within Product Marketing, the Product Portfolio team supports PayPal Leadership with product portfolio decisions and product roadmap trade-offs providing them with the right insights and analysis.  

 

We are seeking for a high energy, financial, business oriented professional to join this team and lead Finance Performance. The position is highly visible in the organization and involves frequent interaction with the senior executives and key stakeholders in Product, Strategic Finance, FP&A and Analytics. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to experience the fintech sector while working for an international brand true to a clear vision and purpose anchored in democratizing financial services. 

 

Desired Skillsets 

  • Ongoing focus on financial operations knowledge; ability to constantly prioritize and to deal with ambiguity.  

  • Able to abstract key financial datapoints from a variety of (unstructured) sources to build clear strategic financial performance frameworks across the product portfolio   

  • Experience in thinking strategically and acting operationally and experience managing ambiguity, risk, and changing direction of projects and strategies.   

  • Versatility in navigating a complex & matrixed corporate environment while juggling multiple responsibilities. A collaborative mindset is essential.  

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, simplify, in order to clearly and succinctly convey sophisticated information and ideas to individuals at all levels of the organization  

  • Track record of delivering tangible results 

  • Appetite to learn; Interest in technology and proven ability to go deep in complex topics/verticals 

Core responsibilities 

  •  Understand PayPal’s global product catalogue at a strategic level 

  •  Understand and consolidate economics behind PayPal’s key products 

  • Plan, drive, and own product Master business plan gathering key inputs from relevant product BPs 

  • Contrast delivery with planned resource allocation and investment to determine ROI at the portfolio level 

  •  Develop standards for business case evaluations and performance tracking 

  •  Clearly articulate possible trade-offs 

  • Lead product portfolio monetization trajectory exercise 

  

Required qualification 

  • 10+ of relevant technology finance, strategic modelling and thought leadership 

  • Experience in financial planning, analytics, strategy planning at a Fortune 500 company 

  • MBA or quantitative degree preferred, but not mandatory 

  • Strong experience in navigating through complex data and financial models   

  • Self-starter and entrepreneurial mindset 

  • Comfortable making recommendations across competing and equally critical business needs

  • Experience in navigating complex and global organizations 

  • High energy, passionate, positive, flexible and very outcomes focused
