Honey is a fast-growing company based in Los Angeles, and we’ve recently joined the PayPal family to help supercharge our mission of creating fairness and value for everyone. We’ve built a community of over 20 million online shoppers and use the collective insights of our members to power an online shopping platform that allows everyone to shop smarter, together. We are looking for a Senior Insights Analyst to help shape and scale our Ad Insights function. The Ad Insights team uses product expertise, storytelling, and data to build tools, processes, and narratives that help our Partners understand and maximize the value of their investments in Honey’s shopping tools. The Ad Insights team collaborates closely with Product, Analytics, Engineering, Partnerships/Sales, and Product Marketing. When successful, Insights bridges the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders, allowing Sales to focus on Selling, and Product and Engineering to focus on building for the future. Specifically, Ad Insights’ goals are: Arming the partnerships team with the necessary insights and data-driven narratives to ensure optimal close and renewal rates Automating the above to the extent possible and delivering actionable recommendations to the Product & Integrations teams for eventual productization of highest-value insights/processes

What You’ll Do

  • Data Driven Sales Narrative: Provide insights that target specific merchant priorities in each sales conversation in order to maximize close rates for Offers opportunities

    • Ad-hoc analyses to support partnerships team & optimize probability of close during the initial sales pitch

    • Participating directly in sales conversations when advantageous and impactful

  • Reporting: Identify and report campaign utilization and performance stats that are universally applicable in order to prove the value of Offers to partners

    • Manage and iterate on system of automated reporting decks to ensure efficient access and coverage of product features and merchant business goals

  • Insights Workflow: Design framework to ensure ad-hoc Insights work is done for the highest-value opportunities and via a balance between one-off requests and automation

    • Workflow for partnerships to submit custom insights requests, and prioritization of custom insights requests based on upside 

    • Tracking of custom insights requests and identifying the most repeatable, reusable, and impactful analyses for optimization and automation

    • Educating partnerships on the use of dashboards & auto-generated content for cases when a need can mostly be fulfilled by an automated tool or there is no bandwidth for a custom analysis

  • Case Studies: Support the development of marketing case studies in order to make Sales outreach more compelling and maximize the close rates for Offers Opportunities

    • Create data narratives and visualizations for marketing content that highlights partners who have had success with Offers campaigns

    • Collaborate with Partnerships team to ensure the relevancy of data and data narratives to the sales pitch

  • Consulting for Product team: Translate learnings from the field into actionable recommendations for the Product, Product Operations, and Product Analytics teams

We’re looking for candidates with
 

  • 2-4+ years of experience exploring, identifying and communicating data insights in E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, or related fields

  • Experience outputting client-ready work at high volume

  • Instinct and ability to align the complexity of insights to specific audiences to maximize accessibility and impact

  • Expert storytelling skills, with keen visual and linguistic attention to detail

  • Expertise using SQL to analyze large, complex data sets

  • Experience using programming languages for ETL/tool/process building (ex: Python, Javascript) is a bonus
