PayPal Information Security is seeking a Security Strategist - EUC to define the vision and execution of enterprise security across the PayPal ecosystem. The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of security experience and should have excellent communication skills for interacting with both technical and business professionals. The successful candidate should be able to work within a team to collaborate on solutions and be hungry to dig in to help solve problems. The candidate should have the experience to do smart work by using proven methods and should be humble enough to accept team ideas/suggestions and explain large technical projects to someone without a technical background.

  • Primary Job Responsibilities
    • Define & analyze business requirements to develop strategic framework for enterprise security of EUC platforms
    • Lead reviews & evaluations of solutions relevant to the security landscape. Assess various vendors, technologies, and solutions against business needs
    • Collaborate with technical architects across PayPal and all business units to drive secure implementations and solutions
    • Provide guidance to engineering & architecture teams to develop test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various security projects
    • Stay abreast of cutting-edge technology infrastructures and how they are currently impacting and driving the security landscape
    • Identify security gaps and set strategic direction to solve complex problems with many variables to include various security, network, storage, and compute platforms
    • Be an Information Security advocate & liaison with other business units to support them in achieving our security goals

Skills
•    Define & analyze business requirements to develop strategic framework for enterprise security with a focus on end user compute technologies

•    Strong familiarity with the security product space around anti-virus, anti-malware, UBA, APT, anti-ransomware, as well as concepts such as zero-trust networking, NAC, VPN

•    Lead reviews & evaluations of solutions relevant to the security landscape. Assess various vendors, technologies, and solutions against business needs   

•    Collaborate with technical architects across PayPal and all business units to drive secure implementations and solutions

•    Experience with the security challenges presented by establishing a strategic approach to security across a global heterogeneous enterprise

•    Provide guidance to engineering & architecture teams to develop test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various security projects

•    Stay abreast of cutting-edge technology infrastructures and how they are currently impacting and driving the security landscape

•    Define information security policies for technology management 

•    Identify security gaps and set strategic direction to solve complex problems with many variables to include various security, network, storage, and compute platforms

•    Be an Information Security advocate & liaison with other business units to support them in achieving our security goals

Experience

  • 10 years of related experience and a strong knowledge of information security
  • Experience with the security challenges presented by establishing and controlling security controls for users across a global heterogeneous enterprise
  • Experience in the use of security principles; policies and standards; information security best practices, products and technologies.
