PayPal is looking for an Identity Security Engineer with the knowledge & experience to evaluate the design of IAM and PAM solutions and recommend and support the integration or migration into a larger corporate IAM solution. This position is in a Security M&A integration team that supports the onboarding and integration of a new acquisition into the larger PayPal security and infrastructure services portfolio. In this role you will lead and support the technical direction of the IAM integration and communicate future plans and direction to technical and non-technical people.

Specific responsibilities include

  • Evaluate new acquisition company’s IAM and PAM solutions
  • Lead architecture, design, and transition of IAM and PAM solutions to a corporate IAM and PAM solution.
  • Partner with IT Security specialists from the IAM and Cyber Security peers to craft and implement new security solutions
  • Establish and deliver IAM services within cloud environments
  • Lead technical direction of the team and mentor junior associates
  • Drive future roadmap of the platforms in conjunction with product owners
  • Develop cross functional relationships with solution delivery and operations teams
  • Develop the appropriate technical and leadership skills to perform strategy, solution architecture, project management tasks, technical design and analysis in the delivery of these services.
  • Remain current on IAM and cybersecurity market trends, tools, methodologies and approaches
  • Optimize operations via automation and process improvement
  • Mature Agile and DevOps practices

The Skills and Experience that will Make You Successful

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Engineering skillset / training / technical work experience
  • 5-8 years Engineering experience in relevant technical domain
  • Passionate about Cyber Security and Identity & Access Management
  • Proven success implementing IAM and PAM tools eg. SailPoint, CyberArk, Centrify
  • Experience creating and customizing scripts using PowerShell, Python or other languages
  • Experience handling security and identities within a cloud environment (Azure, AWS, GPC, ect.)
  • Success leading agile technical implementations at an enterprise scale
  • Ability to work in a flexible work environment on a distributed team
  • Exposure to emerging platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift etc.
  • Experience in capacity planning, health monitoring, and operations
  • Technical ability to lead strategy and solution design
  • Experience working in a large regulated environment (SOX, PCI, FDA, GDPR etc.)
