Risk Reporting and Analytics team is part of the Risk and Compliance Program Infrastructure Team that is driving PayPal’s journey to reimagine and enhance our Risk and Compliance capabilities across the three lines of defense to enable better decision making, and to support the achievement of PayPal’s business objectives while ensuring obligations are met. The Reporting Analyst will be supporting the Reporting and Analytics Team’s mission to Empower PayPal’s Management and Employees to confidently use data to drive risk-based decision making. The individual will primarily be responsible for the execution of data requests in support of the Second Line Global Testing Team and will also be responsible for delivery and maintenance of high quality, timely, and relevant risk management intelligence across PayPal. By supporting a range of stakeholders across the First and Second Line of Defense with consistent delivery of the agreed outcomes, the Analyst will contribute to strengthening the culture of informed and risk-aware decision making.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Accurately execute the reporting processes in scope of the Reporting and Analytics Team.
  • Manage intake of, prioritize, and execute data requests in support of the Second Line Global Testing Team.
  • Independently develop an understanding of the varied data sources that support the deliverables, including communication with requestors and data owners, building and executing queries, and delivering data in an appropriate format.
  • Support the design and documentation of effective and elegant reporting by helping in preparation of mock-ups and final reports in reporting tools and documenting them in procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Qualification:

  • 0-2 years of professional experience in a Risk Management, Reporting, or Analytics capacity, ideally within financial services.
  • Proficient with SQL queries, MS Excel and creating reports in Tableau or other BI tools.
  • Solid organizational and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize work and communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and ability to effectively execute reporting processes, and to spot inconsistencies within both underlying data and the end result.
  • Displays a can-do attitude and the willingness to learn.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, Business Intelligence, Engineering, or related relevant experience.
