You will become part of the International Product Risk and Compliance team and will be responsible for the culture of Product Risk and Compliance within our Global Product Business . You will take a consultative approach and work closely with every business division to implement and manage an innovative and practical, yet thorough, compliance program.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Providing guidance to business partners relating to the development of controls for critical business processes to mitigate compliance/operational risk.
  • Assist Product team and Enterprise Risk Partners reviewing controls identified by FLOD
  • Support the intake and review of Product related initiatives, including new products, enhancements, regional expansion and deprecation
  • Attend deep dive sessions with product owners to further understand product solution, use cases, and relevant risks.
  • Identify potential risks within specialized areas (e.g. Privacy, AML, InfoSec) which may require SME review, and ensure that cross-functional stakeholders are engaged
  • Present product functionality and open risks to Compliance leadership at routine meetings and debrief sessions.
  • Update system of record with risks, concerns and product related questions along with identified controls and/or mitigation measures
  • Assisting in execution of the compliance risk assessments.
  • Supporting ongoing and targeted compliance monitoring and/or testing.
  • Sign off on relevant risks through documentation of approval for controls, mitigation or non-applicability.
  • Provide ongoing oversight of relevant initiatives through post-launch monitoring to ensure integration, adoption, complaints, and customer comprehension issues have been addressed.
  • Assisting with the development of SOPs and applicable policies.
  • Preparing periodic reports summarizing the business units’ risk and control environment.
  • Engaging key Risk and Compliance program stakeholders to help support business unit initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team professionals; strive to deliver exceptional and responsive service by providing risk and compliance management expertise in a clear, solution oriented and customer-focused manner.
  • Support execution of regulatory change management initiatives.
  • Escalate timely and actionable information to key stakeholders.
  • Support management and operations with problem solving on regulatory matters.

Qualifications/ Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of global financial institutions, money service business, and/or banking compliance, including significant knowledge of anti-money laundering, data protection, anti-corruption/Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and consumer protection regulations.
  • Years of Experience: 5+years of experience.
  • Degrees or Certifications: BA/BS degree
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including strengths in influencing, conflict management, and negotiation.
  • Extensive experience in partnering with and counseling senior business clients, particularly in the context of a rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong problem solving and operational process skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent ability to analyze regulatory risks in complex business processes, and recommend controls to mitigate those risks.
  • Excellent presentation and project management skills with the ability to successfully work multiple issues at one time.
  • High energy and creativity, an entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to work in a growing and changing environment.
  • Ability to operate with strong integrity with the ability to handle projects of a sensitive and confidential nature.
  • Strong computer knowledge; excellent MS Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong analytical, cross-referencing and deductive reasoning skills. Ability to problem-solve, review and analyze data, locate its source, effectively assess risk, identify root cause of issues and identify operational efficiencies.
  • Ability to determine best course of action/make sound recommendations
  •  Self-motivated. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and work effectively under the pressure of deadlines.
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to communicate with several stakeholders.
