PayPal Luxembourg is looking for a Risk and Compliance Oversight Specialist to join the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the operational Regulatory requests received from various agencies in Luxembourg (including face-to-face meetings) and ensuring quality, the efficiency of processes and escalation of issues as needed
  • Support the Regulatory Customer Complaint process ensuring quality reviews and that timeframes are respected along with analysis of trends and areas of improvement
  • Support governance process related to Regulatory Interactions and related monitoring and reporting
  • Supporting the manager on the oversight of a variety of processes part of the Compliance Program, namely:
  • Tracking and oversight of the Compliance SLAs
  • Managing relevant issues and ensuring appropriate follow-up and escalation
  • Support the oversight of Second Line Testing results
  • Support the development and coordination of various reporting deliverables of the Compliance Program
  • Analysis and development of processes and procedures; provide input on improvement areas to better support Compliance Program governance

Objectives of the job:

  • Support Compliance Program by handling and coordinating responses to relevant Regulatory requests
  • Ensure accuracy, quality and timely reporting for the operational requests.
  • Ensure accuracy, quality and governance of the processes.
  • Maintain supporting information and governance on the performed activities.
  • Develop and maintain a good communication flow with various stakeholders
  • Provide ad-hoc support to other business functions and to the manager as needed.
  • Monitor evolution of documentation received and issues raised or found to identify potential compliance issues that could result in fines or threaten our banking license if unaddressed. Ensure that issues found are appropriately escalated.

About You: 

  • 3 to 4 years experience working within Risk, Compliance, preferably within the financial sector
  • You have strong problem-solving skills; proactive behaviour, and the ability for solution presentation.
  • You have attention to detail, the ability to build on experience, are analytical and bring
  • You have exposure to a regulatory Compliance environment in Luxembourg.
  • You are experienced working with business stakeholders.
  • You are experienced in partnering with various stakeholders in the context of a rapidly changing and growth-oriented environment.
  • Forward-thinking skills and the ability to perform throughout adverse background a must
  • You have a bachelor’s degree. A compliance qualification is desirable.
  • You have good knowledge of English mandatory; French and German is a plus.
