Are you a technical woman who has taken a career break? Or perhaps you have taught yourself to code, but you don’t have any industry work experience. If this describes you, then you should apply for our Recharge program. Specifically, we are looking for women who have been out of the workforce for at least 1-2 years but are ready to jump back into technical roles.

Recharge is a 16-week paid program which provides individuals who want to return to the workforce an opportunity to expand their experience and network. The program will start in October 2017.

PayPal’s Consumer Mobile Applications team is looking for ambitious engineers to join us! PayPal consumer app is the face of PayPal in mobile world and delivers high quality features to external consumers. Our whole team pours our energy into these products and we want people to join us who want to be a part of the product. What we do matters—both to us and to millions of people around the world. We’re looking for experienced and motivated Mobile release engineers who are self-motivated and work towards releasing a quality app on iOS and Android platform.


  • Drive release process for iOS and Android apps.
  • Release process and management, configuration management, source code management systems/code build systems and CI/CD pipelines. 
  • Work with the mobile core App team and business stakeholders on implementing new and emerging technology solutions.
  • Support development activities in all features in the Continuous Integration Platform.
  • Collaborate with various development, QA, operations, site support, and infrastructure teams to maintain high-quality deployment artifacts as they move through the entire deployment pipeline.
  • Continuous work towards making the stream line, predictable and effective release cycles.
  • Create and enhance software to automate test, staging and production service/system deployments.
  • Understand where automation can be applied to various aspects of the development process and support projects to implement these solutions to gain organizational savings.
  • Help automate and streamline our operations and processes while working closely with the Infrastructure/Software Development groups and senior IT management.
  • Support more stable operating environments by continuously improving the infrastructure to be easily deployable and scalable.


  • Experience working in fast-paced mobile iOS and/or Android platforms.
  • Proficient in use of Bug tracking tools, Git/GitHub, and platform-specific app stores.
  • Well Proficient in use of Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins, and Mobile debugging tools for iOS and Android platform.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with sufficient level of technical capability to effectively communicate with engineers and identify technical risks.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively communicate across multiple time zones.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and experience managing activities across multiple teams.
  • Demonstrated success in working with complex full-stack mobile applications across native mobile and server-side components.
  • Familiarity with agile development processes

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years in release management of mobile applications in a dynamic environment.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related Science degree
