The PayPal Product Engagement, Planning and Talent Development team is looking for a self-starting and collaborative Program Manager to join the Portfolio Planning & Insights function. The Program Manager will be part of a team that continually engages with our product portfolios to support and help accelerate various aspects of the product development lifecycle, including providing business and operational insights so the product portfolios can make informed investment decisions. Additionally, the Program Manager will work closely with accounting and finance to drive a quarterly process that relies on product development data and insights. Product Engagement, Planning and Talent Development is a cross-functional product operations team with four inter-connected functions. These functions blend a unique skill-set and global reach to directly support all product teams and to partner with commercial and corporate stakeholders to catalyze our transformation to customer-centric development and to continually improve so PayPal goes from good to GREAT. The role is a fantastic opportunity for data-lovers who also seek the relationship aspect of program management. Success in this role will require data expertise and communications finesse in order to work with the broad spectrum of stakeholders our team supports. A firm understanding of the larger business context is also essential as our organization plays a key role at the intersection between product development, finance and strategy.

Core responsibilities:

  • Support decision making by providing insights and recommendations to improve both operational efficiency and resource alignment to meet both in-year growth targets and long-term strategic objectives
  • Manage the end-to-end process of PayPal’s quarterly capitalization of labor submission for accounting and finance. This includes providing basic forecasting for finance, monthly check-ins with product teams to help them manage to targets and provide the final data submission to accounting.
  • Be an engagement manager for a selection of Product Portfolios, as their council and support with the standardized portfolio frameworks, including providing appropriate training.
  • Build reporting tools – including, but limited to Tableau – that help our Product Portfolios accelerate their transformation to continuous planning and customer-centric development.

  • BS or BA required, MBA a plus
  • 4-7 years of experience in program management, business process, business analytics, management consulting
  • Fluent in Excel and visualization tools such as Tableau; experienced with SQL a plus
  • Strong communication skills
