While each domain team has deep knowledge and responsibility in their area, we are a horizontal organization that works closely with cross-functional teams across all of PayPal, Inc to ensure we are supporting the latest and greatest products and services, legal or compliance requirements, and other business priorities. We are looking for a talented, ambitious, and self-motivated product manager to own the Communication experience across both platform and experiences.

In your role as Product Manager you will:   

  • Do market studies( competitive analysis, user research etc. ) to identify the best ways to communicate with our end users.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams in PayPal to understand their needs with regards to customer communication
  • Propose features, define product requirements and lead successful execution of initiatives that enable the Communication Platform clients to meet their business objectives 
  • Collaborate with engineering and architecture to help determine the best technical implementation/design while balancing time-to-market needs and needs of the business.    
  • Define and proactively monitor key performance metrics to support and inform product decisions. Engage in problem solving with analytics to determine trends and root causes.   
  • Develop new platform capabilities to drive adoption by new clients 
  • Evaluate trade-offs amongst multiple solutions and influence roadmap for one or more service/feature areas based on technical feasibility, business timelines and customer impact.  
  • Build trust and effective relationships with peers/cross-functional teams.  

 
Specific Requirements For The Position 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, MBA is highly desirable 
  • 4+ years of relevant industry experience in software product companies  
  • 3+ years in hands-on coding and software product development 
  • 1+ years in product management (B2B or B2C) 
  • Moderate level of technical understanding in API definitions and web services & related internet technologies is preferable in this role to enable work across both back-end and front-end stacks
  • Experience in Payments domain is a plus 
  • Proven abilities to conduct Market analysis and evolve Business Metrics for evaluation of critical success parameters 
  • Proven experience in tracking market trends, user behavior and overall business environment to take strategic decisions that shape product lifecycle. 
  • Demonstrated results in conceiving and building novel and innovative products (or features) from inception to production release. 
  • Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Experience of working in fast-paced agile environment while balancing evolving business needs, technology trends, customer needs and long-term strategic vision. 
  • Ability to take controlled risks to make the needle move.
