MarTech team is responsible for the technology & experiences driving PayPal marketing activities touching millions of customers worldwide. Team is on a transformational journey to consolidate disparate tools onto a common marketing platform that can automatically drive intelligent decisions about the next best action for any given customer based on how they interact with PayPal products & services. The team comprises of highly skilled & experienced technologists who work closely with data scientists & marketers to implementing solutions that drive value for our customers and ultimately to PayPal. For you to succeed on this team it is important to be comfortable working in a multi-functional setup, demonstrate high degree of autonomy, stay curious, willingness to learn & experiment, and help drive best of class engineering practises. MarTech team is part of the broader Employee Technology & Experiences (ETX) organization at PayPal.

Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Functional Consultant will be responsible for guiding a successful SFMC implementation at PYPL from start to finish.  This includes evaluation of needs, planning, prioritization of solutions and resources 

Requirements:  

  • Experience leading large-scale, highly-customized technology implementation projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Passion for problem solving and translating business needs into a technical requirements and a strategic product vision 
  • Experience building and managing product roadmaps, engaging with stakeholders craft a “crawl walk run” approach that delivers immediate value while also working towards a north-star state
  • Exceptional project management skills; ability to document work and resources required, estimate timelines, and manage dependencies
  • Fluent in project management software such as JIRA, Smartsheets
  • Strong understanding of SFMC’s product offering, integration & automation capabilities. Understanding of integrations between SFMC and other third party Martech partners a plus.  
  • Understanding of marketing channels and practices
  • Strong communicator; Diligent about communicating status, roadblocks, progress, and roadmaps to stakeholders
  • Ability to navigate and influence within a highly-matrixed organization, garner support, and ultimately drive adoption of SFMC tools
  • Effective vendor manager;  Navigate internal governance, legal, infosec and privacy processes to ensure compliance with PayPal standards

Education & Experience required:

  • Hands-on experience driving the implementation and adoption of SFMC
  • Essential experience in managing complex projects in a highly matrixed organization
  • Marketing ecosystem understanding and experience (especially in digital) a big plus
