The Product Lead is a product leader that takes a holistic product management responsibility for at least one Product Area. A Product Area lives within an Alliance and generally entails a strategic product domain that includes several Product Teams and Product Managers. You will act as Product Manager in one of the Area’s Teams, and may also manage a few of the PMs (if the Area grows to such a size).

You will be the go-to product person for the Partnerships Area. This means being a spokesperson across the teams within the Area as well as towards Stakeholders, such as other Alliances, Areas and departments. 

You are further expected to play a key role in driving the Area’s vision and  strategy process forward and ensure alignment across Tech, Product, Design, Analytics and other Stakeholders, while contributing to the goals of the POS Alliance, iZettle and Paypal.

Your role will be hands-on all things within Partnerships - providing thought leadership, communicating strategic and tactical direction across the company, enabling focus and execution on the right problems and opportunities, and ensuring close collaboration with peers and other teams. 

About Partnerships

We are tackling an exciting new chapter for iZettle - increasing the use cases solved on our platform by an order of magnitude over the next 2 years. To do that, Partnerships teams are working on everything from improving our development experience, Docs to building sales channels and working with external development partners to build quality integrations on iZettle.

Overall in Area

  • Work closely with Alliance Leads and Tech and Design counterparts on a wide range of responsibilities - from vision and strategy to goals, tactics and deliveries. All in all to ensure that the Area is contributing to end-to-end product success.

  • Lead the process, and ensure, together with Tech and Design counterparts, to: define Area vision and strategy (Missions & Goals), determine high-level prioritisation, negotiate trade offs within Area, Alliance, iZettle. This includes aligning prioritisation according to company missions.

  • Ensure that the Area’s Missions & Goals are achievable and aligned with the Alliance, iZettle and Paypal. Sense check that Area Goals reflect reasonable return on investment for the business given the planned efforts

  • Strive towards clarifying Area domain across iZettle and Paypal stakeholders, including overall accountability and measures of success

  • Align with Tech and Design counterparts, Area PMs and Product Teams to bring clarity to the area problem space - e.g. what are the important problems to solve from a holistic point of view?

  • Responsible, along with Tech and Design leads, for aligning so that we execute with world class ability

  • When it come to Area Delivery, you are accountable for Area prioritisation and related coordination of priorities, roadmaps and dependencies to other areas, including Stakeholder management on Area level

  • Support Alliance Leads on holistic needs, hiring for team members, driving culture for all new and existing members

  • Evangelise, share the work & learnings of the Area to help encourage a culture of experimentation and learning throughout the organisation

  • Partner with leadership of other departments to ensure holistic success and drive faster, higher quality and valuable decisions

  • Potentially developing and coaching a team of Product Managers 

Team Level

  • Get your team to dream big, align on a commonly agreed vision and draw a clear path to get there

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ship high-quality experiences to grow new users and encourage existing users to discover, adopt and use iZettle

  • Know Your Seller: Understanding the problems to solve and behaviour of iZettle sellers, build use cases around it and leverage data to help the team translate insights into product experiences

  • Clearly communicate product plans, objectives and performance measures and progress against plans to all stakeholders – tailoring communication as appropriate to ensure relevance to the audience

  • Help your team improve the speed, quality of decision-making to make a real impact on moving the needle on engagement, retention, activation, and other core metrics

  • Plan and execute impact-oriented sprints, designing data-informed MVT/MVP experiments, maintaining a tracker of changes to learn quickly and drive key metrics

  • Serve as a point of escalation for the team, helping to remove barriers and roadblocks and navigate difficult or complex decisions

  • Regularly monitor and review Missions & Goals performance (OKRs/KPI) at the Area and Team level, utilising tools such as Amplitude, Looker, and Google Analytics

Skills

  • Extensive experience in software development/startups/growth/marketing or related fields

  • Expert knowledge product management experience, shipping across various platforms - web, desktop, iOS, Android

  • A previous track record of leading, managing, coaching and developing teams

  • Strong Experience working in Scrum/Agile/Lean/Growth frameworks

  • Strong sense of UX and a deep understanding of customer needs, with a strong motivation to tackle their problems

  • Demonstrated technical proficiency and effectiveness working closely with engineers, designers, analysts, and agile coaches
