Core Duties: • Lead small to medium Enterprise Services Internal Control Documentation Projects. • Author and update global documentation based on requests submitted via business units. Documents within scope: policy, process mapping with internal controls, procedure creation. • Review and maintain all global procedural requests via an online tool to determine prioritization, assignment, relevance and follow-up. • Reformat/rewrite existing procedural content into Policy & Procedure Team editorial standards including the approved structured format. • Assess existing procedural documentation and make recommendations for improvement. • Work closely with curriculum developers to ensure that procedures integrate into training materials developed for Enterprise Services. • Engage in feedback review of all documentation drafted within the DSS Team, as appropriate. • Troubleshoot issues with content development by communicating with the requestor and SME. • Collaborate with Enterprise Services Leadership concerning the publication and communication of documentation. • Lead and engage in multiple meetings with various groups, including but not limited to Policy, Legal, Business Channels, Training, PI/PM, Enterprise Services Leadership etc. • Serve as a champion for the DSS Framework to: ensure consistency, clearly articulate processes, educate others, and enforce documentation standards. • Work with various Enterprise Services individuals (SMEs) to determine current standard practices and create comprehensive procedure documents. • Develop an understanding of the overall scope of assignments, by utilizing documentation provided by the requestor such as Process Maps, Flow Charts, and Policy • Maintain, develop, and socialize Policy & Procedure reporting/usage with business units. Prerequisite Knowledge and Proficiencies:

  • Strong analytical, cross-referencing and deductive reasoning skills.   Ability to problem-solve, review and analyze data, locate its source, effectively assess risk, identify root cause of issues and identify operational efficiencies. Ability to determine best course of action/make sound recommendations for correction of testing/monitoring findings
  • Demonstrated thorough knowledge of PayPal services and products.
  • Self-motivated.  Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and work effectively under the pressure of deadlines.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and knowledge of multiple functions within the Enterprise Services Organization.
  • Must display a high level of professionalism, sound judgment, commitment, integrity, teamwork, and customer service.
  • Proven organizational skills.
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to communicate with several stakeholders.
  • Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers and other business units.
  • Knowledge of internal systems and software (Kana, Intranet, Admin Tools, Compass/Attack, APS, InfoCenter/Oracle Knowledge Database).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word with Intermediate skills in other Microsoft Office product suite (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, One-Note).


  • 3+ years professional related experience; such as technical/procedural writing and/or instructional design or risk/fraud environment; preferably in Banking or AML/BSA functions.
  • 1+ years of PayPal experience, including front/backend and PayPal product knowledge. Including detailed knowledge of specific PayPal tools such as Admin Tools, ATTACK, FOP, PET, etc.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, etc.)
  • Demonstrated strong written, oral and presentation skills to foster productive relationships with diverse staff.

Educational Requirements:

  • BS/BA Degree or educational equivalent.

Physical Requirements

  • This position requires sitting, typing and repetitive motions.
