The PMM team is setup to drive product commercial success in partnership with global Product, Marketing and Sales teams. PMMs ensure product success by deeply understanding and consistently championing the needs of the customer as a representative voice in all discussions and decisions, ensuring product and feature releases solve tangible customer pain points. Within the PMM team, the Payment Product PMM will have a focus on our Enterprise payment experience globally. The role will need to connect the dots between the Markets, Product, Marketing and Sales teams to build go-to-market plans that resonate and drive the overall success of our payment solutions.

The role of a Product Marketer is comprised of two primary areas of responsibility and activity: inbound and outbound. Both activities help to define, design, and ultimately deliver on the promise of the go-to-market plan for PayPal payment platform products. From an inbound perspective, the Payment Product PMM will continually define the most important customer needs and opportunities. Product PMM will actively interact with client facing teams to deeply understand customer needs as well as any unique country or regulatory requirements. The Payment Product PMM will also provide deep expertise about our payment product capabilities and value propositions. The role will constantly collaborate with our Market PMM and Segment PMM peers across the globe to distill the set of needs across all countries and regions into an overall set of globally prioritized opportunities. From an outbound perspective, the role will construct the product launch strategy, including product positioning and messaging, competitive insights, and launch channels, etc. The PMM will also collaborate with a range of cross-functional teams to execute launch strategy and drive the success of our payment solutions.

The ideal candidate should have experience in:

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience that can span product marketing, marketing, product management, sales engineering, operational roles, or strategy consulting
  • Experience working throughout a product’s life cycle
  • Storytelling and messaging development
  • Management of cross-functional projects
  • Evangelizing ideas and managing expectations across various stakeholders

The Payment PMM will also contribute and help to drive the culture within the team, and support and coach team members as needed.
