Join our collaborative team of technology engineers and take ownership of supporting and implementing Xoom’s partner operations environment (24/7/365) plus other corporate projects. The successful Systems Administrator will be confident, self-motivated, organized, flexible, and results-driven.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own, monitor, and maintain all technology utilized to facilitate 3rd party integrations including Linux-based systems, VPN, SFTP, API, and other standard connectivity technologies
  • A requirement of working a variable schedule and on-call shifts from time to time
  • Serve as a resource for partnerships to assist with the resolution of file-based connectivity issues
  • Maintains and collaborates thorough documentation of key projects
  • Take on and manage key projects which directly support the onboarding of new Xoom partner integrations
  • Develop jobs and/or scripts in Python/Bash Script to support different partner operations projects
  • Manage and configure GCP (Google Cloud Platform) servers and related technologies for the team
     

Requirements:

  • Solid Linux systems experience (Linux Certification a plus)
  • Networking knowledge of firewalls, load balancers, VPN, NATs (Certifications a plus)
  • Splunk
  • Python
  • Puppet
  • GIT
  • Ansible
  • Terraform
  • GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
  • Nagios (desirable)
  • Experience in automatization and maintenance of applications
  • Solid understanding of IT security practices
  • Comfortable in 24x7 operations
  • Responsible and capable of dealing with incidents and performing on-call shift rotations
  • Basic Project Management with a strong sense of ownership and drive
  • Ability to create and document processes
  • Communication skills to work with customer facing partners
  • Desire to learn new skills

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or EE or equivalent knowledge and experience
