The Network Compliance Manager will be part of the Omni Payments team located in either the PayPal Omaha or Chandler office. The position will be global in nature, across all our adjacencies. The role requires working on the Compliance Management team as the single source of truth for Network Scheme announcements. The information is received from our global bank partners and card networks. The candidate is expected to record, evaluate, track progress, and provide stakeholders the financial and customer implications of all bulletins which impact PayPal Inc. This position requires an attention to detail, thought leadership, and passion to collaborate cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders.

  • Manage incoming Network Bulletins of upcoming changes from global partners
  • Maintain the central repository and governance structure for receiving, tracking, monitoring and communicating bulletin information which include product feature enhancements, rule changes, pricing, dispute resolution, security, etc.
  • Navigate through internal teams to engage relevant POCs by building relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate support and cross-functional review
  • Share updates cross-functionally from intake to ownership and full lifecycle of the initiative
  • Work with the Compliance Management team to communicate and create transparency across all levels at PayPal Inc.
  • Support and promote an environment of team member engagement and diversity to achieve success and reach shared goals
  • Partner with leadership and internal stakeholders to evaluate network changes and impacts to the business
  • Ability to identify and raise concerns if external ecosystem changes do not align with PayPal value
  • Assist with the communication of upcoming changes to internal and external stakeholders including presentations to business partners as needed

Qualifications:

The Network Compliance Manager will need to build strong relationships with PayPal business partners within Omni Payments and cross-functionally across PayPal Inc. The individual will work in a complex, fast-paced matrixed environment, with tight deliverable timeframes and multiple stakeholders. The right candidate is expected to demonstrate strong initiative and flexibility in working with global teams. The role requires a sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement.

The individual must possess program management and business acumen skills. The ability to interpret bulletin information and identify areas of impact to PayPal Inc. The candidate must have the desire to do the right thing and ensure PayPal is compliant to Network rules and obligations. Effective communication and ability to work with people will be key in driving results the right way.

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills to communicate to senior leadership, peers, and other internal stakeholders across PayPal Inc.
  • Must have a desire and interest to read, interpret, and communicate Network mandates
  • Ability to work across multiple lines of business with high attention to detail and accuracy since dates and regions may change numerous times before an implementation date
  • Proven and demonstrated relationship-building and collaboration skills with clear ability to influence, gain support to drive a team deliverable forward
  • Ability to work independently, self-starter and highly motivated to work in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to operate in ambiguous environments and exhibit agility in navigating from current state to proposed solutions
  • Strong computer knowledge; excellent MS office suite – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Knowledge of PayPal internal systems a plus
  • Available to work periodically early mornings or late evenings to meet with global teams
