Looking for an engineer with good backend experience who will be able to is able to design world class solutions and deliver in a timely and consistent fashion, produce high quality code and bring up other engineers via peer training and motivation, end to end team player who is easy to work with and takes accountability to the work that they are doing and a person who can go behind people to get things done.

We have a unique opportunity for a talented engineer in PayPal Data Governance platform team. We are looking for a smart, execution focused technical engineer that will be responsible for working on key deliverables on PayPal Enterprise Privacy Platform, working closely with many internal technology partners to deliver key platform capabilities that will allow our internal business partners to match their expectation from the regulators and Privacy partners.

A successful candidate is able to design world class solutions and deliver in a timely and consistent fashion, produce high quality code and bring up other engineers via peer training and motivation, end to end team player who is easy to work with and takes accountability to the work that they are doing and a person who can go behind people to get things done.

You possess:

•       Very good communication skills

•       Team player

•       Experience in designing and developing distributed software systems with high performance, scalability and security.

•       Excellent understanding of Core Java, REST, Spring, RDBMS & SQL

•       Experience with Linux/Unix/Python coding experience (including scripting) is required

•       Knowledge about Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, or Hive

•       Experience in Cloud environments like GCP, AWS etc.. is a Plus

•       Ability to grasp and convey complex product requirements or technical concepts.

•       Ability to work in a fast paced, agile development environment

•       Ability to manage a project scope end to end

•       Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with orientation towards innovation and open source tools.

•       8+ years of relevant experience in development.
