Your charter will include the automation of compute resource allocation to all software engineering initiatives at PayPal, the balancing of resource distribution against supply chain, data center infrastructure, network, shared service, and budgetary constraints, and the implementation of tools and policies to optimize resource management across the entire infrastructure at PayPal. You will seek to redefine the definition of an "on-demand" computing environment at mass scale.Beyond solid program delivery and technical skills, you should be a professional with experience in software product development, quantitative analytics, and/or supply chain management. You should be a top performer with a rare ability to synthesize strategic solutions to interdependent and broad problems. You should be someone who thrives in a very fast-paced and demanding environment. This role requires an ability to think critically, iterate quickly, provide exceptional thought leadership, and to partner across a wide variety of functions at PayPal to drive change across PayPal’s Operations division. You will have a strong internal drive, a tenacious spirit, a collaborative method of working, and deep experience in solving hard problems as simply as possible. In addition, the Capacity Engineer should be focused at all times on delivering premium service to our internal customers.

•Exceptional organizational skills, critical thinking and analytical skills

•Exceptional skills influencing, teaming, and delivering solutions in a highly complex, always changing, and nebulous environment

•Strong intellectual curiosity and ability to structure and solve difficult problems with minimal supervision

•Data analysis experience with statistical, numerical and analytical principles and processes including conceptual and practical understandings of relational databases, join types, and group by classes

•Experience translating data to actionable insights and business questions to analytical tasks

•Experience working with large datasets coming from multiple disparate data sources including database querying (SQL)

•Data extraction experience using SQL and other scripting languages

•Capable of developing efficient technical processes for acquiring, modifying, and manipulating data sources, with coding experience to build pipelines that pull from and join these sources

•Efficiently run large scale database in development and corporate environments

•Knowledge of SQL, Excel, and Pivot Tables

•Ability to work independently effectively, learn quickly, self motivate, problem solve and own multiple tasks simultaneously

•Strong presentation skills to deliver findings, with ability to visually and orally represent and defend complex analysis both internally and externally

•Strong experience in dash boarding technolgies like Tableau

•Software Development experience in Java/Python preferred.

•Overall experience of 6+ years with MTech/ME/BTech/BE in computer science.
