The Team: Our Growth markets marketing analytics team sits within the broader Global Marketing Analytics Team. Our analysts bring together their technical expertise, business context from stakeholders and embrace ambiguity, navigating a matrix organization. Our mission is to be a trusted partner to marketing organization to drive value by providing data driven insights and an objective view on marketing programs across segment, channel, and markets. We are accountable for end-to-end marketing analytics to enable optimization that delivers higher ROI and delightful customer experiences. The Role: In this role, PayPal is looking for a marketing analytics manager to join Growth markets marketing analytics team. The role provides exposure to marketing managers and relevant marketing leads, sponsoring marketing programs across growth markets, which include high growth markets such as Mexico, Brazil, Japan, China and our cross-border markets. You will be responsible for delivering end to end analytics solutions, including, but not limited to, marketing planning, business casing, campaign performance readout, deep dive on campaign results and optimization. You will also be responsible for delivering accurate, actionable recommendations to drive business performance and investment optimization. You will work closely with the database marketing and account-based marketing team to design and deliver relevant analytics solutions. This is an individual contributor role with potential team leadership opportunity. Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform deep-dive analyses using analytical and statistical tools on very large, complex, multi-dimensional datasets
  • Lead the engagement with marketing stakeholders and internal customers/ stakeholder teams (Sales, sales / marketing ops, sales / product analytics, etc.). They should be able to find applicability and actionability to their work, influencing stakeholders to make the most out of the work analytics provides
  • Manage multiple analytical projects at a time, in a fast-paced, intense, and results-oriented environment
  • Influence stakeholders to make business decisions in alignment with global measurement approaches
  • Liaise with Global Analytics teams to enable knowledge sharing across Analytics community. To drive alignment on the adoption of tools, educating stakeholders to rely on them whenever applicable.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Engineering, Economics
  • 5+ years professional experience in an analytical role. Prior experience in sales analytics or database marketing analytics is preferred
  • Be an independent thinker, able to work autonomously on projects with complexity both on the technical side and on the business implications side
  • Be a coach for younger team members, both on technical and non-technical topics
  • Capacity to influence stakeholders, maintaining the right balance of assertiveness and healthy business relationships 
  • Ability to structure complex problems in simple terms
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for seeking the truth
  • Knowledge of statistics (multivariate statistics, regression modelling, predictive modelling, controlled test design, time-series modelling) 
  • Strong technical skills: SQL, R, Python, Tableau, Qlik, Notebooks, BiqQuery
