The Manager of Customer Information Reporting (FATCA & CRS) will ensure overall compliance with reporting, remediation and change management initiatives related to the PayPal’s information reporting obligations under the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and the Common Reporting Standard (CRS). The successful candidate will be able to work with cross functional partners to prepare and review domestic and international information returns submitted to the IRS and foreign revenue authorities.

  • Oversee large scale data preparation and automatic exchange of information for FATCA and CRS for a high-volume reporting Financial Institution.
  • Ensure timely reporting and proactive remediation of data to reduce regulatory risk related FATCA and CRS filings.
  • Manage FATCA and CRS work streams within the Customer Information Reporting Program related to development of new system capabilities or enhancements, implementation, and operational readiness.
  • Maintain highly effective partnerships with impacted business areas and related processes that impact FATCA and CRS compliance.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and work to ensure accuracy of data submitted to revenue authorities.
  • Support data governance model and best practices related to standardization of data dictionaries, systems, and information sourcing related to FATCA and CRS and synergies with AML/KYC.
  • Effectively assess external customer and internally directed complaints and inquiries for potential compliance impacts and work with the appropriate Compliance contacts, customer response teams, and/or line of business associates to identify regulatory issues and help businesses resolve customer concerns.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA from an accredited institution and CPA, MBA or JD preferred.
  • 10 years experience with IRS/OECD rules, regulations, and guidance relating to all types of US and global information reporting regimes. AML/KYC experience preferred.
  • Detailed knowledge of processes used to enable automatic exchange of information of FATCA and CRS.
  • Proven experience using data to inform decision making.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Analytical and verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work and communicate well with various levels of management.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Teradata, SQL.
