Come join us, the Global Fraud & Risk team, to build platform capabilities to help enhance Fraud detection and prevention. PayPal relies on state-of-the-art Risk Platform to keep our customers safe and their accounts secure. You will work with a strong Engineering and analytics team to develop new solutions and machine learning based features to improve the speed, accuracy, and quality of Fraud decisions.

Typical responsibilities include:
  • A customer champion that can work with engineers, product managers and analysts to enable their business needs.
  • Leading a team; Design, development, and testing of features/functions delivered.
  • Collaborating with peers both within their team and across the organization.
  • Working with product managers using agile methodologies to deliver high-quality solutions on time.
  • Working with operations teams to ensure your applications and services are highly available and reliable.
  • Supporting your applications and/or services as and when required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • An intellectually curious, quick study who will learn the business quickly.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing and maintaining high performance, high availability, large-scale platforms and applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to grasp and convey complex product requirements or technical concepts.
  • 10+ years of software development and engineering experience of which 3+ years hands-on experience managing and growing engineering teams.
  • Experience building and managing highly effective engineering teams, conducting performance reviews, making compensation decisions and recruiting talent.
  • Experience in building enterprise application & platforms for E-commerce biz (micro services architecture, Java fundamentals & spring boot mandatory, data management and building high throughput pipelines) - is a plus.
