Job Description Summary We are looking for a talented Software Development Manager who has experience in Full Stack Application development to be part of Payments Tools & Frameworks Team (PTF) team. Responsibilities include managing a team of ~12 people involved in designing and developing web applications starting from web pages to back-end DB storage

    • Prevention - focusing on catching issue before changes goes LIVE
    • Detection - focusing on how fast we can detect and triage issue on LIVE
    • Recovery - focusing on building tools that can aid recover from an unintended Incident on Live
Who are we looking for:We are looking for seasoned Full Stack Application engineer to join us in this journey. We want people who have a passion for designing and building tools that have exceptional user experiences.Your day today will include:•    Responsibilities of building web flow strategy, front end and back end architecture, working with the back end architecture team, along with design and development of the web interfaces.•    Partner closely with product to craft great product experiences to users•    Design and Write scalable web application code following best practices of accessibility, visualization and usability•    Be a crafts(wo)man and encourage code craftsmanship across the team•    Deliver code in an agile team environment - you will operate in the bi-weekly scrum model•    Test our own code and deploy out to the cloud environment•    Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative developmentQualifications:
  • Overall 10+ years of experience in Software development which should include 
•    3+ years production JavaScript application design, development, and testing experience•    3+ years experience with web application development including Node.js applications on top of RESTful APIs•    3+ years of solid knowledge of popular JS frameworks and libraries (React or Angular, Backbone, Underscore, etc.)•    Experience in mid-tier like Node or Java•    Experience in Spring, springboot frameworks, ORM/Hibernate•    Experience in JUnit, TestNG•    Experience with technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, Webpack, LESS, Bootstrap, Dust•    Exposure to working with Relational and No-SQL databases, and message queues/brokers•    Experience on Big Data Technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, Hive, etc•    Familiarity with Druid and Elastic-search•    Exposure to at-least one scripting language (Python, Unix shell scripting, etc)•    Passionate about developing amazing user experiences•    Strong desire to learn, experiment, and share knowledge with others•    Solid knowledge of algorithms and design patterns•    Knowledge/experience with GitHub•    B.S Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience* Being a Technical Manager, you will manage a talented team of ~10 engineers with a mix of Senior and Junior engineers, lead the design discussion as required* Partner with cross-vertical teams across geographies, enable your team to clear road blocks and ensures timely delivery* Responsible for overall delivery of the team and following good development practices across all engineering processes* Work with PO/APM/DTLs to analyze/ help prioritize requirements* Mentor engineers, complete their appraisal and help them grow in their career* You are well versed in understanding and analyzing requirements, to produce accurate estimation of timescales for work items* You are a self-starter, can make decisions without always asking others "what has to be done"* You have experience working with remote teams and understand the nuances of being a team player* You live "Customer First" attitude, exhibit a great sense of ownership, understand the need to monitoring, triaging and fixing issues on Live before Customer reports it
