PayPal’s Branded Experiences P2P Risk team is seeking a highly motivated Risk Analytics Associate Manager. You will work to prevent online fraud and want to join the world’s top risk talents in solving some of the most challenging problems in a collaborative global environment that promotes learning and rewards innovation. A competent problem solver, equipped with strong analytical skills to approach varied challenges in complex environments, deconstruct the problem, and transform personal insights into large-scale, state-of-the-art solutions. Managing a team responsible for driving and executing initiatives focusing on mitigating fraud patterns while improving the customer’s Experience for PayPal’s hundreds of millions of customers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead a team of highly skilled Risk Analysts
  • Subject Matter Expert of the business processes across PayPal’s and Xoom’s risk platform and operational tools
  • Mentors and coaches team members; demonstrates best practices, educates others in their area of expertise.
  • Works independently and proficiently on multiple assignments simultaneously with speed and quality
  • Lead projects focused on risk mitigation and risk operational efficiency.
  • Collaborates across cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, Data Science) to meet project goals, resolve issues, and implement improvements.
  • Providing regular updates to senior leadership, peers, and other stakeholders simplifies complex analytical research and insights into easy-to-follow actionable outcomes and drive impact for our customers, stakeholders, and PayPal.
  • Ready to roll their sleeves to conduct deep-dive analysis when needed.

Skills & Experience required: 

  • BA w/ 3+ years management experience; Experience managing teams in a global organization – an advantage
  • High proficiency in analytical domain
  • SQL experience is required
  • Python experience is preferred.
  • Experienced in rule writing systems, development, and implementation of complex decision frameworks
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills across cross-functional support teams and to BU partners. Comfortable leading/presenting in group settings.
  • Team player, responsible, delivery-oriented
  • Champion in understanding internal and external business processes and data, system and flows, and analytical tools, techniques and methodologies in their work domain.
  • Solve complex business problems through root cause data and behavioural analysis using findings to develop user stories and solutions.
  • Always seeks out improvement and innovation opportunities that have a short-term and long-term impact on business.
