The Manager of Product Analytics will be a key part of the Financial Services organization supporting all products of the group and reporting to the Director of Product Operations. This role will focus on data analysis, data modeling, reporting, creating dashboards, providing insights, and identifying trends as they relate to the entire suite of Financial Services products. This critical role helps translate business questions into structured analysis and data analytics into business insights. By having a deep understanding into our products’ performance and by turning the data into useful intelligence that can inform product strategy, you will play an important role in PayPal’s ability to deliver market-winning products. Beyond a strong data analysis background, the right candidate should be a self-starter, who is data-driven, proactive, and insightful. To be effective in this role, the individual will need to have advanced knowledge of Tableau to create new dashboards and views and work closely with several teams, including product, analytics, finance, marketing, as well as senior leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with enterprise analytics to create dashboards in Tableau
  • Develop new Tableau reports and views using connected data sources
  • Connect data from PayPal partners to create a complete single view of the business
  • Define additional metrics to be tracked that are critical for each product
  • Provide product owners with detailed information on the performance of their products
  • Develop reporting and visualization templates for "deep dives" into each product
  • Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and trends that may impact the business
  • Create robust business models to help create business cases for new features and initiatives
  • Perform special projects, research, analysis, and presentation for the senior leadership team
  • Read, analyze, and interpret metrics used to measure and monitor operational performance
  • Partner with multiple teams to provide an understanding of the data that drives performance

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or related quantitative discipline
  • 5+ years’ experience in data/business analytics
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with strong ability to drive towards action and impact
  • Experience with visualizations, dashboards, and reports
  • Experience in supporting product development teams preferred
  • Effective time-management and prioritization skills to manage workload
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, ability to build relationships internally and externally, interfacing at all levels
  • Results oriented, team player, fun, energetic personality, relishes challenges, works well under pressure
  • Must be eager to learn, contribute and share knowledge – internally and externally
  • Knowledge and expertise of Tableau
  • High level user with Microsoft office Excel and PowerPoint.
