The Market Research, Pricing & Strategic Finance function is a key lever to grow the PayPal business. The team works on providing strategic and financial insight to cutting edge financial innovation happening at PayPal. The team leads financial planning on critical partnerships and product launches for the company, guide monetization and pricing strategy across PayPal. We support senior executives in finance, product, sales, business development, strategy, and core payments to understand long-term and short-term impact of strategic initiatives. For this exciting journey we are looking for a strong addition to support and build out our Business Operations Team. This team is the engine of insights and strategic decisions for the Senior Leadership Team. As a manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving high impact decisions, coordinating with cross-functional teams, analyzing data, and tracking performance to achieve our goals. People are at the center of the organization; you will support their growth and development. They key to success in this role is to be an excellent communicator, demonstrate an ability to influence decision making at the senior leadership level by synthesising information and strategy recommendations in a simple and meaningful way, and have excellent organizational and time management skills. This is a high visibility role, working at fast paced with high performing team, and offering an excellent vantage point of all strategic investments the company is making. This is a great opportunity for someone with an interest in Fintech to learn about the changing landscape of financial services & payments technology – mobile, in-store, credit, consumer financial services, financial inclusion, cross-border, blockchain & crypto, etc.

Job Responsibilities

The manager will report to the Director of Business Operations. The role will require that the individual supports in:

  • Preparing materials on strategic initiatives for executive discussions. Gather feedback, ensure follow-up, reporting and track performance
  • Owning the coordination with cross-functional teams on the execution of Pricing strategic initiatives
  • Setting and monitoring KPIs across the organization to track strategic goals, milestones and accomplishments
  • Aligning and improving processes to increase efficiency and foster faster decision making
  • Owning and centralizing knowledge around Market Research, Pricing, and Strategic finance initiatives for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Facilitating communication across the team and promoting team accomplishments within PayPal
  • Supporting the organization and the content of internal conferences and events (All hands, leadership meetings etc..)
  • Maintain ONE team culture and ensure engagement of collaborators with focus on team development and career growth
  • Suggesting and implementing new ideas to positively impact our performance

Profile

Who are we looking for?

You should be a passionate, proactive self-starter, quick learner and somebody who enjoys dealing with a wide range of topics and has a good sense of humor!

  • +8 years of relevant consulting, finance, corporate development, strategy, banking, or pricing experience
  • An understanding of payments product & technology is preferred and will go a long way in the success of this role
  • Excellent oral and written communication (impactful ppt)
  • Organization / influence
  • Ability to prioritize and deliver reliable results in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • A can do attitude and willingness to go the extra mile when required
  • A business and commercial sense coupled with analytical skills
  • A true end to end understanding of business and product positioning
  • World class strategic and analytical thinking with an excellent ability to put complex ideas into clear frameworks
  • Versatility in navigating a complex & matrixed corporate global environment while juggling multiple responsibilities. A collaborative mindset is essential.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, hands-on mentality, team-oriented and results-driven
  • MBA, Master’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Proficient in Excel, Power Point and notions of Finance/ Accounting; SQL a plus
  • Fluent English; any other languages are a plus
