We are looking for a senior project manager of people integration to join our growing people mergers & acquisitions team. This role will be responsible for the end to end project management of HR mergers & acquisition related projects and assignments. As part of a global team, this role will be responsible for developing and providing scalable, repeatable, and transferable processes, methodologies, playbooks and tools to further evolve PayPal’s People M&A capabilities in line with deal volume and requirements.

Responsibilities include supporting and driving a robust program management structure (e.g., roles, responsibilities, processes, and tools) to drive due diligence through integration success, minimize execution risks, and drive efficiencies while also identifying opportunities to enhance and scale the current model.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assess organizational, people and HR data and functional implications of deals
  • Assess risk and identify recommendations for potential mitigation activities
  • Develop and manage due diligence reports, data & activities
  • Develop and manage post-deal close integration project plans
  • Identify, coordinate and engage resources and deliverables across HR and functional teams to facilitate and enable integration activities according to plan
  • Report progress to plan, and issue through resolution management
  • Inform and engage appropriate stakeholders regarding deal, due diligence and integration planning
  • Orchestrate the planning, project manage the timeline and participate in PayPal’s acquired employee on-boarding experience
  • Develop and execute detailed HR workstream integration plans on-time & on-budget  
  • Manage the project plan to execute integration activities to achieve desired end state including transitioning staff to total rewards, payroll and policies
  • Partner with team to help deliver systems, process and training to acquiring business units that enable transfer of capabilities resulting in the achievement of desired business objectives
  • Supports and enables quality control and continuous improvement processes of deliverables and people M&A playbook.

The preferred candidate will have:

  • Successful track record of problem solving, a “can-do” attitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to liaise positively with all levels of management
  • Strong analytical mindset – ability to analyze and interpret data to draw accurate conclusions and recommendations
  • Strong project management skillset – ability to lead the planning and execution of complex projects requiring coordination of work across multiple stakeholders, negotiation, consensus building and problem resolution, and consistent demonstration of process improvement
  • Understanding of all HR disciplines, including the HR business partner role, organizational development, compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, and operations
  • Ability to build & influence partnerships across a global, matrixed organization
  • Previous M&A project management experience required.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree. An advanced degree is preferred.
