The Finance Manager is a key member of the International Controllership team, responsible for maintaining and driving controllership rigor and discipline and ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance for SEA entities in the International region. This role reports to the Singapore Finance Manager and is based in Singapore International HQ. This position will work closely with treasury operations and hedging and forecast team to analyze FX exposure for the entity and review the hedge position and collaterals recorded in the entity.

Accounting and Financial governance

  • Preparation of monthly financial reports and analytics to support a structured risk-based monthly financial review
  • Work closely with shared services team to ensure transactions are recorded in compliance with US GAAP & IFFRS
  • Ensure regular review of account reconciliations including follow up and closure of open items
  • Ensure timely completion of statutory audits for all entities
  • Review business processes to improve/ strengthen internal controls and track remediation of control deficiencies.

FX and hedge accounting review

  • Work closely with treasury accounting COE to analyze the FX exposure on books and ensure the Economic hedges and Balance sheet Hedges are booked correctly.
  • Preparing monthly dashboard to track and explain impact of currency movements v/s Economic Hedges on local entity books.
  • Facilitate proper analysis of foreign operations transactions and financial statements denominated in foreign currencies.

Support business team on new products

  • Playing the role of a key stakeholder providing inputs during the build phase. Ensuring sustainable processes and controls are setup to support new product introduction in local markets.
  • Playing a key role in the GEM – Entity Management team to ensure new regulations and changes are incorporated and operationalized in a timely manner to support growth

Qualifications/Experience/Skills /Competencies

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university
  • CPA or CA qualification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
  • 4-5 years of relevant experience in accounting
  • Experience with audit procedures and SOX compliance requirements
  • Prior working experience in a Big4 audit firm preferred
  • Prior working experience in local Thailand companies preferred
  • Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office software tools, especially advanced MS excel skills

Essential

  • Strong English speaking and writing skills
  • Some knowledge in indirect tax, corporate income tax and transfer pricing
  • Good business partnering skills working with various people across different organizations both internal as well as external
  • Able to drive changes to improve processes

Desirable

  • Experience of working in industry within a regulated environment
  • Experience in banking and financial services industry
  • Interest in e-commerce
  • Familiar with use of SAP system and BW tools
