Risk as a Service team focuses on building world-class Risk Mitigation offering for our diverse merchant base. These products cater to our merchants' requirements depending on their size, geography, complexity and maturity of risk management. We collaborate with our peers in Engineering, Design, Product, Go-To-Market, Sales and Support to build products and features that delight our merchant partners, and our business. We welcome big thinkers and passionate team players, who are ready to take their career to the next level. This position will be based out of the San Jose office. The Data Science manager role is impertinent to the performance and health of the product. You will also a key role in building and maintaining an elite DS team. You will be a core player by interacting with all product, engineering, solutions architects and customer success with respect to data science innovations and improvements.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Be the voice of the Data science group to all our internal & external partners

• Work closely with multiple merchants and internal stakeholders and educate them on fraud mitigation as needed

• To drive the road map of all data science related improvements and enhance the performance of the product

• Conduct research groups to identify new algorithms/technologies/additional data that can performance of the product to the next level

• To be well versed in resource management to meet all our customer needs.

• Make business recommendations to the executive and cross-functional teams with effective presentations of findings at multiple levels of stakeholders.

• Lead an elite team of Data Scientists and develop a customer centric culture in the team

• Maintaining a good team morale and team wellness is a top priority

Qualifications and Experience:

• MS/PhD Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Mining or related field or equivalent practical experience.

•  About 10 years of experience in advanced Data Analysis/Data Science /Research in Risk and Fraud domain

•  About 6 years of experience in managing Data Science teams

• Experience with Python, SQL, R or JavaScript along with model development, deployment & monitoring.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in payments & e-Commerce

• Strong process improvement, prioritization, and multi-tasking capabilities

• Experience in direct handling/communicating with customers

• Demonstrated analytical thinking through data-driven decisions, as well as the technical know-how, charisma, and ability to work with your team to make a big impact.

• Outstanding leadership, influencing, communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
