PayPal is seeking a high caliber and energetic attorney or experienced program manager to join our Product Legal team supporting the integration of acquired companies and their products into PayPal for the Legal function.

The successful candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Experience with M&A due diligence and integration activities
  • Familiarity with and strong interest in PayPal, fintech, payments, financial services or tech industries and the legal issues and regulations relevant to those industries
  • Superior tactical execution skills and ability to drive large, cross-functional teams to achieve results
  • Confidence in leading meetings, comfort with making decisions and ability to document and respond quickly to inquiries
  • Excellent communication skills, both interpersonal and written
  • Ability to build and cultivate strong relationships at all levels
  • Proactive nature and ability to influence and motivate without authority
  • Drive stakeholders to make decisions in a timely manner
  • Develop a holistic understanding of parent business and operating model
  • Comfortable with managing changing priorities
  • 4 or more years of relevant work experience, with at least 2 years focused on M&A and/or financial services and technology
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to tolerate change and ambiguity
  • Ability and drive to take ownership of projects and tasks which, in many cases, will be matters of first impression.
  • Comfortable with gray areas and interpreting and applying the law in unsettled contexts
  • Facilitate a team-based approach to subject matter management and knowledge sharing, and comfort with a flexible, agile environment that emphasizes collaboration and team performance over management hierarchy.  The successful candidate will enthusiastically partner with PayPal legal colleagues across our global organization.
  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under challenging circumstances.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously, with effective resolution of conflicting priorities.
  • Juris Doctorate or equivalent law degree preferred, but not required
