The Learning Experience Specialist III (LES) based in Shanghai or Beijing will be responsible for delivering a range of training for Global Customer Operations (GCO) teammates to help them understand PayPal business model, PayPal product, processes, and industry knowledge, and lead a team to support both PayPal and GoPay GCS teammates learning and development. The training includes new hire training, Up-Skilling, refresher, soft skills, leadership excellence programs and ad hoc training deliverables. He/she will work on cross-functional improvement projects as well as global projects to drive the business KPIs. He/she will also need to collaborate with global training team and cross-functional teams and acts as a SME for GCO. Areas of focus include developing and delivering training, project management, training needs identification, assessment of the effectiveness of training, coaching, facilitation, and review of key customer metrics.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Regularly use our customer and teammate products, work in production and integrate solutions to improve customer experience
  • Lead and design by leveraging different learning methods and channels (eLearning, discussion boards, classroom, web conference) for assigned program/segment to drive learning enablement and impact performance
  • Consult with stakeholders and learning leaders on identified performance improvement opportunities and solutions
  • Assess and evaluate assigned program/segment to ensure performance impact
  • Continually focus on BU metric efficiency to identify opportunities and recommend solutions
  • Build relationships with stakeholders as a trusted advisor

Job Requirements:

  • Superior knowledge of adult learning theory with demonstrated results in a global operations environment
  • Provide succinct communications that can be understood at many levels and across regions.  Is always clear and to the point, and speaks and writes in a fashion that allows others to take notice
  • Able to analyze, design and evaluate learning programs
  • Posses strong knowledge of business objectives and the impact of learning programs
  • Able to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Make decisions with the teammate and customer in mind, while navigating through many tasks and responsibilities
  • Owns the change and doesn't allow others to distract or divert from a common learning outcome


  • Candidates must demonstrate proven experience and success in training needs analysis, design, delivery & assessment.
  • Previous experience of customer service is essential
  • Project Management experience valued
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Adobe Captivate, Articulate or any e-learning tools would be a plus
  • Candidates must have a proven track record in achieving strong results as well as continually displaying initiative to take on additional responsibilities towards professional growth
  • Ability to handle multiple projects under pressure
  • Must be a team player with an ability to lead a team and motivate others
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential information
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills


  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent
  • Demonstrated leadership potential (collaborating with others; mentoring and coaching even if not a direct report relationships)
  • 5+ years learning and development experience
  • Able to work flexible hours and/or overtime as business needs dictate
  • Travel may be required from time to time
