The Developer Experiences team is part of the core Product & Engineering organization, and responsible for PayPal’s end-to-end developer experiences – including developer onboarding, integration, and servicing experiences. We’re looking for Lead Technical Product Marketing Manager, who will transform Developer Experiences for PayPal Inc. If you are excited empowering Developers by helping them discovery best-in-class PayPal solutions – this role is for you. Reporting to the Senior Director of Developer Experiences, this role will partner with team, focusing on helping PayPal achieve integration and experience excellence for Developers. You will leverage your technical knowledge and capability, and communicate simply to build impactful stories for both internal and external audiences. Specifically, you will gather insights and data to help Product Managers deliver an integration and experience to Developers that is not only industry leading but world class. You will look across every facet of the Developer experience including integrations, testing, tooling, deployment, and engagement. The ideal candidate will be a cheerleader for our Developer customers within PayPal.

The ideal candidate has experience working on product-led growth opportunities ideally in the API, SDK and payment solutions space. You must have a passion for running go-to-market strategy and campaigns for technical audiences such as engineers and product managers.

1.     Strong experience as a technical product marketing manager with a deep understanding of the motivations of technical audiences

2.     A proven track record of your ability to understand technical personas and build adoption and engagement of new and existing product lines

3.     Technical aptitude, curiosity, and a keen understanding of the API and developer ecosystem and its technical audiences

4.     Experience crafting compelling positioning, messaging and thought leadership content

5.     Hands-on capability to build a range of marketing assets, including succinct slide pitch-decks, eBooks, demo videos, and event/webinar content.

6.     Ability to effectively influence both internal and external stakeholders across all levels of the organization

7.     Proven track record of performing well in a fast-paced environment

8.     Outstanding organizational skills to define and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines effectively within a fast-paced environment.

9.     Be innovative with your marketing approach in reaching out to our audiences as well as in engaging them frequently

10.  Build a deep understanding of the developer persona to create compelling product marketing positioning for PayPal’s developer experiences

11.  Conduct competitive analysis to influence product roadmap decisions and vision for PayPal APIs and SDKs

12.  Develop differentiated messaging and positioning based on a deep understanding of developers’ needs and challenges, and bring it to life in launches, content, campaigns, events, enablement, and more

13.  Create technical product marketing materials, including videos, whitepapers, presentations, web content, and more

14.  Contribute to adoption of new and existing products and features by collecting quantitative and qualitative data on usage and adoption patterns

15.  Partner with Product Management and Engineering to understand product roadmap and upcoming releases to drive and implement release marketing efforts for PayPal’s payment solutions

16.  Partner closely with Sales and Sales Enablement to develop and lead internal content including sales enablement training and FAQs

17.  Collaborate with our developer evangelists to educate developers on our product capability and value via online and in-person events

18.  Collaborate with our community managers to build our presence across technical forums like Github, Postman, Stackoverflow

19.  Contribute to marketing strategy and messaging, and help maintain technical accuracy of marketing messages

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years leadership experience in Product Marketing, Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, Management Consulting, or similar areas

  • Prior experience in financial technologies, banking, finance sectors a plus Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related technical field Fluency in English
