Partners & Marketplaces organization builds end to end payment capabilities that powers payment experiences on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Prestashop, Aliexpress etc. Our organization is chartered to bring payment capabilities and other value-added services to Partners and Marketplaces in both online and offline channels. It is our goal to package the complexity of our payment system in a simple integration for our partners and provide a seamless checkout experience for their consumers. The MTS 1, Software Engineer is responsible for the technical lead role in the design and development of partner platform. This includes the framework development for enabling Partner Payments product suite and building and integrating software needed to make transactional integrity and extremely low response time.

The Partner platform team builds and operates rich platforms that serves the needs of our product teams to build customer facing functionality. We own the end to end lifecycle of partners ranging from onboarding, payments and reporting capabilities. We build platforms that scale well to meet the diverse needs from our customers. In this role, we are looking for engineers who are very passionate and have experience in building and operating 24x7 high availability systems. Engineers in our team love to take ownership and are continually improving the scale, operability, traceability of our system.

Job Requirements

Strong expertise and experience in designing high load transactional processing required.

Experience in developing highly available, reliable, and scalable solutions in Java. Expertise in either of JEE/ JAVA/ Node/ C++, SQL, PLSQL is a must.

Primary responsibility is implementing enterprise-level system designs and working with one or more development teams to realize product design and implementation.

Excellent analytical and problem solving capabilities are needed for this job. While this is an Individual Contributor position, there is expectation that the MTS 1, Software Engineer play a technical leadership and mentoring role in the team.

Responsibilities include researching, analyzing, architecting, designing, proposing, and delivering solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies.

Required Skills

  • BS/BA or equivalent in Computer science with 8+ years professional software development experience.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented design and design patterns, and programming skills
  • Experience in designing, developing and delivering software and/or platforms used by other developers,
  • Good understanding of web services and SOA related standards like REST/OAuth/JSON and SOAP/WSDL.
  • Familiar and comfortable with the technologies, the tradeoffs, and the design patterns emerging in web services
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You have a bias towards action and results
  • Proven problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively both independently as well and within a team.
  • Excellent knowledge of any high level programming languages. Java is preferred.
