The DDA Manager will help direct our media agencies across all paid acquisition channels in North America, Europe and Australia. The DDA Manager will drive campaign strategy and optimization, landing page/content optimization and experimentation, and general project management with the prime objective of acquiring new PayPal users. This role will play a part in the developing the full scope of the consumer activation funnel. This role will oversee specific marketing campaigns while partnering closely with analytics/experiment partners in order to drive Sign Up and First Time Use Product Adoption for Consumer Marketing. The role will work with both internal and external teams to improve overall creative strategy and performance, test and launch new channels and platforms, and improve PayPal’s acquisition journey across web, mobile and app.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for driving towards the net new active user target for the Squad program  


  • Work closely with embedded agency partners across digital channels to facilitate creative testing, campaign planning, and general program optimizations. 


  • Develop and maintain experimentation strategy/calendar across different forms of paid media  


  • Partner with marketing services and operations teams in ensuring the smooth creation and execution of marketing campaigns  


  • Budget and Financial management. Candidate will manage Squad acquisition budget and be responsible for driving program initiatives to achieve targets 


  • Cross-functional partnership. Work with the Consumer Marketing, Global Brand, and Product Marketing teams to develop approach for prioritizing business initiatives against Squad goals   


  • Partner with analytics and data science leads to identify optimization opportunities and user insights, and have executive level presence in reporting on the program  


  • Value Proposition.  Candidate will translate the PayPal brand into meaningful value propositions and benefits messages for all target audiences   



Required Skills 

  • 5-7 years digital marketing experience – managing medium-to-large, cross-functional teams. Track record of working with external vendors and internal partners, e.g. media and creative agencies 


  • 5+ years directly managing paid media buys, including targeting, campaign optimization and measurement. Hands on experience managing campaigns within platform and ability to continually evaluate ad tech. Agency experience is a plus. 


  • Confidently demonstrate the ability to strike the balance between strategic thinking and hands on work 


  • Data driven marketer - results driven and demonstrated analytical approach to marketing  


  • Candidate must have experience with analytics tools, ad serving platforms, and attribution models 


  • Financial Planning and Management.  Candidate must have experience developing and managing budgets (>$5M) and forecasts 


  • Highly competent in creating executive-level decks, strong data visualizations.  Must demonstrate an executive-ready presence, and the ability to present to members of the leadership team 


  • Candidates must have a proven track record of marketing execution and an ability to thrive within a fast-paced matrix environment 


  • Be a strategic leader – identify gaps and take action to close them, self-starter mentality 


  • Understanding of the financial services, financial tech, and payments industry / ecosystem a plus  


  • Bachelor Degree required
