The International Governance Analyst, Risk and Platforms Governance will be responsible for the organization, administration, and management of PayPal’s international governance framework. PayPal’s international governance framework helps ensure senior management and legal entity board of directors effectively execute their oversight responsibilities and helps ensure the Company is identifying, assessing, and mitigating risk appropriately. The right candidate is a self-motivated individual that is able to effectively work and communicate collaboratively / cross-functionally with multiple teams located in different geographies. The right candidate must have a hands-on approach, strong intellectual curiosity and attention to detail and organization.


This role, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Risk and Platforms Governance, will be responsible for:

  • Enhancing and executing PayPal’s international governance framework, including creating or improving governance processes, developing templates, and developing corporate governance standards.
  • Driving alignment across international boards, committees, and working groups by standardizing meeting agendas, shaping meeting materials, aligning governance calendars, and benchmarking charters and bylaws.
  • Developing processes and maintaining relevant skills matrices for boards of directors.
  • Developing key metrics and other reporting for the Global Entity Management & Oversight organization.
  • Responding to requests for information from external partners, internal audit, and regulators or examiners.
  • Actively developing relationships and working collaboratively with international stakeholders.
  • Maintaining appropriate records of escalations, decisions, and action items.
  • Assisting in implementation of strategic initiatives.

  • Ability to multitask effortlessly and manage competing priorities under demanding deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, manage projects and drive/achieve results.
  • Strong computer knowledge; excellent MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.

  • Operate with strong integrity with the ability to handle projects of a sensitive and confidential nature.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Proven ability to operate in ambiguous environments and exhibit agility in navigating from current state to proposed solutions.
