The PayPal Professional Services team is looking for highly organized problem-solvers to join our growing technical servicing teams. These positions require the ability to analyze and resolve live technical and integration issues across a variety of products including PayPal, Hyperwallet, and Braintree. Our Technical Support Engineers are responsible for providing services to merchants, developers and internal teammates, in line with our core values. After comprehensive training, candidates will play a pivotal role in supporting and maintaining the day-to-day operations of our diverse merchant base. 

  • Works directly with developers, merchant and internal teams to provide technical support, consulting and best practices.  
  • Installation and configuration of payment APIs, and commerce products.  
  • Conducts test scenarios with code, software, hardware, devices and endpoints.  
  • Communicate technical issues to merchants and internal departments.  
  • Identifies irregularities in functionality and unexpected behaviors with products and services. 
  • Ability to diagnose and identify issues with API’s, Code, Services, and Network connectivity.  
  • Supports onboarding of merchants with a payment processing solution.  
  • Comfortable with the occasional on call rotation, weekend, or holiday coverage shift.

Technical Requirements: 

  • 3+ years’ experience in web development in one or more of the following:  Java, JavaScript, C, C++, C#, VB.NET, PHP, or Python. 
  • Experience in creating and troubleshooting web services, such as SOAP and REST 
  • Basic understanding of Firewalls, proxy, HTTP Errors, server-side errors, TCP/IP 
  • Experience with Software Application Debugging and troubleshooting
