The Product Marketer will be responsible for bringing new and existing Wallet products for consumers to market, while being able to convey network benefits to our cause network, as well as using insights to help evolve our overall strategy to respond to an increasingly dynamic and competitive global market.

Consumer Product Marketing Manager, Giving

PayPal is looking for a Product Marketing Manager on PayPal’s Giving portfolio. The Product Marketer will be responsible for bringing new and existing Wallet products for consumers to market, while being able to convey network benefits to our cause network, as well as helping evolve overall strategy to respond to an increasingly dynamic and competitive global market.

We are looking for a customer-centric, purpose-driven product marketing manager who's passionate about accelerating the impact of the diverse customers who use our platform to do good. You will develop a deep understanding of our unique customers, champion their needs, and work cross-functionally to bring solutions to market.
 

About Product Marketing Role  

As a Product Marketing Manager in Giving you will need to:

  • Develop deep understanding of and empathy for our two-sided network of donors and fundraisers in the giving space.
  • Establish strong quantitative and qualitative understanding of the needs of donors, nonprofits, and other fundraisers and how our business supports them
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the giving domain, industry trends and competitive landscape

The Product Marketing Managers are part of the research and inception of consumer insights that drive a product, then create a plan and deliver success through a deep understanding and consistent championing of the needs of global customers. They will be a critical voice of the customer in the entire product lifecycle from needs identification and prioritization, through design and release iterations, and finally through the commercial launch and success monitoring.  Product PMM’s will constantly collaborate with their Market PMM and product management (PM) peers across the globe to distill the set of needs across all countries and regions into an overall set of globally prioritized needs and opportunities.  

From an outbound perspective, the role will construct the go-to-market plan for their product, including sizing, targets and segmentation. They also work with Marketing, Sales and Analytics to design and execute programs that educate our customers and drive demand and sales. 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of product marketing experience with a focus on consumer tech products
  • Experience delivering high-quality customer facing products, technologies or platforms with proven ability to execute
  • Strong product thinking and ability to prioritize
  • Strong collaboration skills, able to lead cross-functional groups and drive action
  • Robust problem-solving ability, breaking down complex challenges to find solutions
  • Comfortable using data and analytics to inform product decisions
  • High integrity and accountability
  • Understand the value of social impact and technology’s role in driving positive outcomes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or equivalent practical experience
