The Customer Success Platform team is responsible for developing innovative solutions through applications, integrations, and automations which are used by thousands of teammates around the world. As a member of this team, you will assist us in developing the solutions that will power the next generations of Customer Care Teammate products.

What is the opportunity?

As a Full Stack JavaScript Engineer, you will be responsible for working on applications and services that handle thousands of pages hosted on paypal.com. You will work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation and experimentations are a given. You will master both established and cutting- edge technologies like, JavaScript, Node.js, React.js, Redux, Next.js, HTML5, CSS3 and CMS. Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Design, development and testing of web applications and services following best practices
  • Work closely with design & product to craft great product experiences
  • Collaborate with peers and seniors within and across the teams
  • Assist with application deployments in our Cloud environment
  • Work with operations teams to ensure the applications and services are highly available
  • Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development.
  • Identify and document best practices

Requirements:

  • Proficient in client & server-side JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, React.js, Redux and webpack
  • Competent in developing Node.js applications and building single page web applications using React.js & Redux
  • Experience with page optimization and page load time
  • Experience with cross-browser, cross-platform and design constraints on the web
  • Experience in developing automated unit and functional tests
  • Experience in agile development process
  • Experience with Next.js are a plus
  • Solid knowledge of algorithms and design patterns
  • Have a passion for quality and writing clean, readable code that scales and performs well

Qualifications 

  • 3-5 years’ experience in software development or a related computer science field 
  • BS in computer science or equivalent
